Thanks to this complex, the texture is reminiscent of products containing snail secretion – bouncy. WHAT IS PLANT MUZINE?

Mucins are a group of complex glycoproteins secreted by the surface of mucous membrane cells to protect the mucous membrane and increase its resilience. They moisturize the skin, promote collagen production, and support skin regeneration.

Mucins are formed in a similar way to other biopolymers extracted from animal or plant tissue, such as collagen and hyaluronic acid.

Traditionally, mucins for skincare were derived from snail secretions. Some manufacturers have now found plant-based alternatives, such as these made from okra. They provide intense hydration and have anti-aging benefits.
