In the search for exquisite materials worldwide, the inspiration for the Italy Line comes from enchanting Italy. The selection of fragrances showcases the highlights of Capua's citrus offerings. Capua has been the center of essential citrus oil production since 1880. Gian Luca Perris, the creative fragrance designer of Perris Monte Carlo, was fascinated by how cutting-edge technologies and traditional oil extraction methods are combined there. These three fragrances are an homage to Italian citrus fruits, capturing the warmth of the sun's rays and reaching deep into the heart. They emphasize the natural character of lemons with hints of cedar, mandarin, and bergamot. Capua, a small town near Naples, blends tradition and innovative extraction techniques to obtain the finest and most precious qualities of citrus fruits.
To extract the precious oils, the so-called "bergamot sponge" method is used. This traditional method is carried out entirely by hand. First, the fruits are halved, and then the pulp is removed with a specially curved knife. Using a sponge, the essential oil is collected from the peel by dabbing and pressing. The resulting essence is exquisite and complex, reminiscent of the fruity and floral notes of jasmine.
