“Amber notes are a very important theme in a perfumer’s work. Personally, I constantly return to them, as they are always a source of inspiration for me. However, creating a modern amber is no easy task. I want it to be voluminous without being heavy, very warm without being too sweet, very sensual, even aphrodisiac, without being overpowering.”
Combining the usual suspects of vanilla, rockrose and incense with rich floral notes was the easier task: I wanted this oriental amber fragrance to be acrobatic and extravagant, yet sophisticated, so I contrasted the accord with fruity mandarin and crisp cypress essence.
One senses a slight retro feeling: the image of a mysterious lady walking through the dark streets of Paris during the Roaring Twenties... it is midnight and she leaves a trail of seduction, alluring and sinful...
